The huge safari tents are made from heavy green canvas, 28 feet long, 14 feet wide and
9 feet high with a weather proof fly sheet to keep the tent dry and cool. They have sewn-in
floors and mosquito proof netting windows which keep out any stray insects. Each has a
spacious verandah furnished with table and chairs, a perfect place to sit and watch the
sun go down across the plains. The private shower and safari lavatory is attached to your
tent and hot and cold water for washing is brought to your shower or basin at any time.
Inside the tent are full sized comfortable beds, carpets, bedside table, hanging closet,
towel rail and mirror. Bright lighting in the tents and throughout the camp is provided by
a central camp generator and from rechargeable batteries. Video batteries can also be
recharged in camp.
Camp Staff
By the end of your safari, you and your camp crew will have become firm friends and
you will wonder how you will ever manage again without them. There are about 2 crew to every
guest and although they are there to ensure that you never want for anything in camp,
providing a smooth and efficient personal service, they enjoy being out on safari almost
as much as you do and this enthusiasm and love of the bush is infectious. Laundry is done
every day.
Dining

You will be amazed at the consistently high levels of delicious food that your safari cook
produces for every meal. Cooking over charcoal, he is a master at producing everything from
fresh cinnamon rolls for breakfast to a perfectly roasted chicken at dinner. Locally produced
fresh fruit, salads and vegetables are an important part of the safari menu. Breakfast is
usually eaten in camp, although if you are walking with a guide before breakfast there are
few more memorable breakfasts than coming into a remote clearing in the bush to find the camp
cook already there and preparing a hearty full English breakfast. Lunch might be a delicious
picnic on a hill overlooking the wildebeest migration or by the side of a river.
Dinner is preceded by drinks around the camp fire before dining in camp by candlelight on
linen covered tables.
