
Wayne was born and raised on a ranch
in South Africa, where he spent his school
holidays bird shooting, hunting and
fishing.
After Wayne completed his military service as a Corporal and instructor in the Equestrian Unit, he studied Nature Conservation in Cape Town where he obtained his National Diploma. Wayne worked for the Natal Parks Board, concentrating on Black Rhino research and guiding walking safaris.
He also ran horseback wilderness trails and was involved in all the facets of game management such as the capture, translocation and rehabilitation of game and raptors. Wayne then went on to obtain his full Professional Hunters license after serving an apprenticeship in Zambia. Wayne is also a keen bird watcher, photographer and a talented wildlife artist. He now lives with his wife, son and daughter in Arusha, Tanzania.
